The Millenium Consumption Goals (MCGs) were proposed in 2011 as a complement to the MDGS.  They were created to address the emerging challenges of unsustainable consumption and resource shortages and to help to secure a greater commitment to sustainable development.  Here is how much energy seven major economies consume, and how much that amount has risen or fallen in the past decade.
